Being Single is Easier When You Have Single Friends

All my friends are in relationships. Even my little brother is in a relationship. My friend G's bf said the "L" word over the weekend.

I'm happy for all these people. I'm unhappy with myself. I don't want to hang out with these people anymore. They're moving on and joining this exclusive club of couples only. In this world your happiness is born from the fact that you have someone.

I don't have anyone.

Being single is hard when everyone around you seems to keep rubbing in your face that you're the single "it" girl. I'm grateful that they invite me to join them at dinners, movies, other activities, but in another way I've never felt so alone and isolated.

I don't want to hang around these people anymore.

get some single friends, girlfriend! After a weird few years where everyone around me was getting married, I now have single friends. Or they're married but basically single for all intents and purposes. Or they've been married long enough that they seem single.

now that I think about it, maybe most of my friends are married. WTF!?

it's so difficult. Until they all start having relationship problems - arguments, cheating... all the bad stuff. They you suddenly enjoy having them around (OCCASIONALLY) cause they remind you that you're lucky to still be single and waiting for the RIGHT person instead of the convenient one.

I don't have any single friends either.
It's a sad, unfortunate thing. I'm only 23 and all my friends are taken. When they are single, it's not for long because no one else seems to have problems finding someone to date.

Oh, being single sucks sometimes.
